This style has sometimes been
called the "Imperial Style" because it was once taught to the
Imperial Families in China. Now, Raymond
Sol, MS. Ed., a Certified Level 3 Instructor (ATCQA), and master teacher, will
help students progressively learn the 64 gentle movements of this ancient style,
as modified and now taught by him.
The goals for these classes
are to improve balance and stability, strength and flexibility, and relaxation
and stress relief.
Tai Chi Level – I
This class is for people who are
first learning the tai chi moves and the overall flow of the 64 Tai Chi movements. Students will also be introduced to the martial arts aspects of each movement. This is the prerequisite for Level II. Depending upon the student's dedication and practice efforts, learning the Form could range for 3 months to 4 months. This class requires at least 6 students to be scheduled. People interested in this Class need to add their name to the class waiting list.

Tai Chi Level – II and Certified
This class is for people to further
refine, perfect, and practice the 64 Tai Chi movements.
People will also be introduced to Qigong deep breathing techniques associated with each tai chi movement. The combination of Tai Chi and Qigong will
further enhance the student’s skills/knowledge, and relaxation abilities.
Each class will begin with warm
up stretching exercises, followed by Qigong deep breathing movements, and a
simple body centering activity. Students will then be instructed on the
various tai chi movements of the gently flowing Guang Ping Yang Tai Chi
style. Ample time will be provided to allow the students to practice the
new movements and how to integrate all the tai chi movements together.
