Relax and go with the flow
Tai Chi is an ancient martial arts relaxation program now being
practiced by prenatal women. Unity /
Harmony Tai Chi exercises were created for prenatal women who need to begin
exercising for their own health, and the health of their new baby. It is also great for prenatal women who are
already doing yoga or other exercise programs, and now want to add something
new to their health routine. Practicing
Unity / Harmony Tai Chi after the birth of the baby will also help new mothers
keep in good shape.
Learn how Tai Chi’s moving relaxation exercises can help you reduce
stress and tension. See how these easy
to learn flowing exercises can improve flexibility and strength while improving
overall health and wellness. Learn deep breathing exercises that are designed to increase oxygen rich blood
flow to both you and your new child. Doing
both Tai Chi and Qigong exercises will help move your blood and clear body
fluids, which will also help cleanse the inner body of carbon dioxide and
improve your immune system.
Practicing Tai Chi’s easy flowing body movements will also help your
mind concentrate on what’s happening right now.
You are living and thinking, and moving in the present. This connection with the Mind and Body helps
to promote mental and emotional wellness.
This improved focus will also help your Mind and Body connect for a
deeper inner relaxation experience.
Tai Chi’s light aerobic movements are designed to gently move all your
muscles and tendons. No special clothes
are required; just wear something loose and comfortable, and be ready to help
your body, go with the flow. This specially
designed Tai Chi program is a non-impact exercise activity, and no Jumping will
be done. Plus you will never get down on
the floor. Balance and stability
exercises form the basis of all the movements.
Gentle stretching exercises are designed to improve the flexibility and
strength of the body’s core muscles.
Generally, two levels are offered.
The Beginners Level Session is where everyone learns the basic Tai Chi
movements, and when Qigong deep breathing is introduced. There are 6 classes, once a week, in the
Beginners Session. The Advanced level Session
further fine tunes the movements, and when all the Qigong deep breathing
exercises are learned. The Advanced
Level Sessions are basically “ongoing” 6 week long classes, again, once a week.
